Welcome to Blessed Little Lessons & Laughs with Bran
Hi! Thank you for visiting. If this is your first stop here, I appreciate you for visiting my blog page. If you’re returning, thank you so much for visiting with me time and time again. So far, this blog has exceeded my intentions, and for that, I am extremely proud.
In light of the New Year, it’s only fair I reintroduce this blog, share why I created it, and outline what I intend to do here. Blessed Little Lessons & Laughs with Bran is an evolved reflection of me. This is the adult me, the 30-plus me, looking at parts of my life that I’ve found to be valuable, teachable moments, with a little laugh here and there.
As a mother, wife, and entrepreneur, I’ve experienced moments I know could resonate with and help someone else, and this is my safe space to do that. As a writer, this ignites the passion in me to never stop creating. My hope is that, one way or another, these small peeks into my life can inspire you to do positive things in your own life, and if nothing else, share in the triumphs of everything that I have learned.
Why I Started This Blog
I’m an avid cheerleader for therapy. I have been in therapy consistently since August 2023. Before that, I didn’t take therapy too seriously. My first pregnancy, anxiety, and depression were catalysts for seeking professional help and sticking with it. I love my therapist. She has taken the time to not only get to know me but actively walk with me on this healing journey. Therapy is where this blog was born.
I’ve always wanted to write my life’s book, but during my pregnancy, I found myself lacking a creative and healthy outlet to express myself. My therapist suggested starting a blog as a way to tackle my emotions, tell my life’s story, and find a new community. I immediately said YES! I spent a few days creating this space, and it has been a lifeline for me ever since.
The Role of Writing in My Life
Writing, like therapy, has always been my place of peace. In high school, as a student at Pgh CAPA, I honed my love and creative ability for writing, especially poetry, thanks to my teacher, Mrs. Kristin Kovacic. My life has always been filled with diaries, journals, notebooks, and poetry. However, I lost my “spark” when I lost most of that in a house fire in GA.
Starting this blog has reignited my passion. It’s a space where I’ve found the ability to stay committed to something just for myself. Writing saved me then, and it is saving me now.
Looking Ahead
I hope this space continues to be a place for comfort, support, laughter, and midlife advice. I want this blog to be a digital footprint for my children to understand the unspoken things about me. As I’m transparent with this community, I want them to see a transparent version of me too.
This year, I’m excited to share more about my journey, including a much-anticipated blog on my husband and I, my current career choice, catering, family, spirituality, and much more. Life is a journey, and this blog helps me make sense of it.
Let’s Build a Community
I wouldn’t be who I am today without my community and resources. I hope this blog opens doors to both. As a library science enthusiast, I’ve always desired to build community and share resources. I invite you to collaborate with me in this space. Share, use the comment section, email, and social media to engage with me. What personal journeys have inspired you to create something new? I’d love to hear from you! Look forward to new blog posts here every Friday evening!
